OUR MISSION
The Gimme Credit International Screenplay Competition was created to provide exposure and development advice to as many writers as possible. We strive to bring new and unique voices to the table while offering superior transparency regarding our competition.

ABOUT GCISC

We have a network of associates at production companies who are constantly on the lookout for the next great script. We hope to bring it to them. We work with our feature winners for months to get their scripts polished and edited and their selling materials in order to greatly increase their chances of success. While we cannot make the promise of production or sales for our feature winners, we do promise we will submit them to our qualified entertainment industry contacts and provide professional, honest development advice.

All writers receive feedback on their scripts following the announcement of the winners! Our unwavering commitment to helping writers succeed was the foundation for our complimentary feedback policy. The notes provide direction and guidance to our writers and serve as proof that your script has been read.

Feature scripts are judged in eight genre categories: Comedy, Drama (including Dramedies), Horror/ Thriller, Action, Family, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Musicals and Other Genres. Each category will have semi-finalists and finalists (provided quality scripts are submitted in each genre). Then, the top four winners will be chosen from all of the finalists and will be submitted to production companies, agents and managers for consideration.

Our Short and Super Short (a category we started!) winners receive a lifetime membership in our exclusive ScriptMatch network, where we match screenplays to qualified filmmakers looking for production-ready short scripts. We do our best to ensure the production company seeking the script has the talent and funds to be able to produce a professional, polished film (no no-budget video camera passed among friends for youtube...you know the ones!).

All feature winners receive a complimentary membership for Marvin Acuna's Business of Show Institute's Screenwriting Success Now Training Program.  All winners receive a plethora of prizes from our generous sponsors designed to help you, as a writer, advance your craft and your career.
