INTRODUCING SCRIPTMATCH

We at Gimme Credit find ourselves frustrated that we can only select one Grand Prize Winner at a time. There are just so many magnificently qualified scripts greeting us each and every cycle. There are also a lot of well-made, poorly-written films flooding film festivals. We asked ourselves what we could do to help qualifed filmmakers get their hands on all of these quality scripts...and after much thought ScriptMatch was born!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

It's absolutely FREE(!) but is only open to previous qualified entrants of the Gimme Credit Screenplay Competition.

WHAT IS IT?

Using our vast and ever-expanding industry network, we have begun to offer previous WINNERS and FINALISTS the opportunity for production.

DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE?

No, it is completely up to you. Of course we hope you will!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Gimme Credit has been approached by many qualified filmmakers (actors, directors and producers) and industry professionals seeking top notch material. We've decided to open up our network to you (our beloved writers).

Each writer will be asked to submit their script information including: a synopsis, logline, genre details and an electronic copy of the script.

We will then match your script to the professionals looking for material. If your script is a match we will work to facilitate an arrangement between each party.

WILL MY SCRIPT BE PROTECTED?

Any filmmakers we pass on your information to MUST sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to accessing information. Gimme Credit will also carefully examine their credentials.

WILL I BE PAID FOR MY SCRIPT?

Generally speaking, no. It is rare for producers to pay for short scripts. You will have your work professionally produced and that will help you far more than a small amount of money will. Very rare exceptions may occur if the script has won an abundance of qualified screenplay contests or is distinguished in another exceptional way.

WILL I BE ABLE TO DIRECT MY SHORT?

Probably not but it entirely depends on who is contacting us for screenplays and what their requirements are. You can let us know if directing is something you desire and we will pass that info on if a director is not already attached but please be flexible. Writers requesting this should have previous directing experience to be considered.

IS THIS OPEN TO SEMI-FINALISTS?

At the present, no. Many semi-finalists are not production ready. Feel free to revise your script and resubmit it to our competition for a chance to place as a winner or finalist and to be a part of ScriptMatch.

I AM A WINNER/FINALIST SO HOW DO I GET STARTED?

After January 1, 2008 Gimme Credit will contact all previous winners and finalists to gauge their interest and gather the necessary information. If you haven't heard from us shortly thereafter, please contact us and we'll get the process started.
